Avoid Tree Diseases
Infections occur no matter what is done to prevent them. It is what you do when an infection occurs which matters. Our arborists are excellent at dealing with pest diseases, fungal infections, and are able to see if something is manageable before it gets out of control. Tree Removals
Contrary to popular opinion, we actually want trees to live as long as possible. Trees are very beneficial to society, in that they provide oxygen, remove carbon dioxide, are homes to many animals, and are beautiful to look at. However, we do know that trees may need to be removed for one reason or another. Sometimes a disease comes up and kills the tree. Usually we prevent those from occurring by having an arborist look into your tree to check its health, before anything drastic occurs. However, you have to want us to do that. This is similar to getting check-ups by your doctor periodically as opposed to having a heart attack one day after not seeing the doctor for 40 years.
If a tree happens to look like it may fall over or has already fallen over, then please call Scottsdale Tree Service right now. We have tree crews on hold, ready to serve you.

Stump Removals
There are four main types of stump removal services we offer. The four are:
Scottsdale Treeworks is here to serve you, regardless of your situation. Call our team for any options you have relating to stump removal services, and we will be happy to work with you!
- Stump grinding - this is when we use our stump grinder which grinds down the stump to below the level of the earth. The area where the stump was is replaced by sod or topsoil and is left there, or you are able to plant small items. You will not be able to plant a tree lest you move five feet away, because the roots under the stump are still there. This is also not viable if you plan on using the area for building and construction, unless you are going to remove the roots below.
- Full stump removals - this is where we remove the stump with its underlying root system. It is more labor-intensive than the stump grinding, and it is important to know why you want the entire stump removed. It may be necessary for building and construction projects in order to free up the land underneath for the foundation below.
- Stump rotting agents - poking holes into the tree, we put rotting pellets in the holes, water them, and leave it there. This may cause the tree to rot in ten years, depending on the species of the tree, of course. It is simple in that you are able to do one thing and allow the tree to die, though it will take ten years to do so.
- Waiting - this option takes approximately twenty years for the stump to go away.
